Will these eggs live, is there any breeds out there that are a cross between the two? These are the only two fish I have in my tank...

Rainbow Cichlids are not internally fertilized so no way for the eggs to be fertile.The eggs must be fertilized immediately after being laid.( by another rainbow cichlid.)

The rainbow ciclid could have been pregnant when you brought her home from the store.

it probably was pregant when you got it and the eggs will be okay if taken care of in the proper manner

she was probely pregnant before hand but, i have herd of weird occasions
