explain to your coach what your problem is
tell him your in pain and ask if maybe you could skip a practice or two and see if you could get someone to tell you what plays you missed during that time period
good luck with your season

Alright, i play bball 5 days a week 3 hours a day. (2 hours afterschool practice, and one hour in my backyard) during bball season, which is now. Anyways, during the summer, i got a big problem in my knees when i was playing soccer. So i had to stop soccer for the rest of the season, i played vball and i wuz fine, but then i got to bball, and bball is REALLy hard on joints because of the changing speed, the defensive shuffle, the jumping, so i had to take a break. a month break!!! I thought i was gonna be out of it for sure, and never be able to play for the rest of the season. But during that month, i did all of my physiotherapy (special stretches, strengthners for muscles or bones) and i attended every practice, so i could keep up with the game and all the plays and show the coach i was still dedicated. So, last week i went back, and i played better than ever! so don't be afraid to take a break or anything, as long as you still attnd practice. also, you might have a problem on your joints or wherever it is hurting, so go see a doctor, he'll tell u if you're alright or not, and ya. try taking a tylenol or sumthing before a game if it hurts so much. And if you wanna still play and not take a break ,just tell your coach, he'll slow you down a bit (I know it sucks, but it's better than quitting). Anywayz, best wishes, and good luck

u could tell the couch to only play u when he really needs u.
that might help! but if not try to get a week off or sumthing and let the team deal with the game!
