Make sure your partnership agreement is in writing. More friendships are destroyed through business agreements and anything relating to money than for any other reason. Here are a few books to check at your local library specific to the industry:

Commercial & Residential Cleaning Services: a Resource Guide to Developing and Maintaining Your Own Janitorial or Home Cleaning Business ... Walter Fenix

Construction Cleanup ... Don Aslett

Start & Run and Home Cleaning Business ... Susan Bewsey

Start your own Cleaning Service: Your Step-by-Step Guide to Success ... Jacquelyn Lynn

As you can see, there are people who have done the research for you. Get to the library or to Amazon, Half, Ebay, etc. and write off the books as business expense. Your library will also have amazing books for advertising ideas, accounting loopholes, start up seminars, etc. Don't dream it ... DO IT!!!

Just make sure to cover you assets if you know what I mean.

The best routes to take are to research the process of starting a business as well as the industry you're interested in.

I recommend checking out the SBA, Entrepreneur, The Start Up Journal & Nolo. All 4 are great informational resources for the new/small business owner. I posted links for you in the source box.

Associations may be a good avenue to explore. These organizations will address many of the thoughts, questions and concerns you'll inevitably have as well as many you haven't anticipated yet. See the source box for some relevant links.

Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can about the industry. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

* Commercial and Residential Cleaning Services: A Resource Guide to Developing and Maintaining Your Own Janitorial or Home Cleaning Business by Walter Fenix
* Start and Run a Home Cleaning Business by Susan Bewsey
* Start Your Own Cleaning Service (Entrepreneur Magazine's Start Ups) by Jacquelyn Lynn
* How to Start a Home-Based Housecleaning Business, 2nd (Home-Based Business Series) by Laura Jorstad

There are plenty of free informational resources out there. Check the source box for links to articles.

Hope that helps! I wish you much success & happiness in all your ventures!

Hi,
If that business doesn't work out for you, you should consider this business. My sister and I both joined and have are seperate business, but work them together. We have alot of fun!
Not sure if you've ever heard of BeautiControl or not, but it's an excellent company. The products are absolutely wonderful and the parties are fun and relaxing. I love all the products, and they have a very large variety to choose from. Please check out their site, it says $179 to join, but this month there is a $179 rebate offer, so it's like joining for free. Amazing offer if your serious about building a business for yourself. When the site prompts you to find a consultant my number is 1029211, or email me at turbin_barbie@yahoo.com for more information.

Good Luck!
Barbara

I will advise you to devise an commercial process for your enterprise. Today establishing a brand new trade isn't that giant undertaking however specific undertaking is to market it that trade in a higher manner. Start a trade which has scope on your field. Whenever anybody thinks to begin new trade first he/she will have to don't forget field (nation, state and goal shoppers) then make a correct process for brand spanking new trade.

Go to city hall and get a license for about $100. You may need to be bonded which is normally hamdled by an association or your insurance guy. City Hall will tell you about that too.
