As my name states I am new at the Horse world..I went in a little over my head because of the love of horses i have always had. I have a 5 yr old mare, a 11yr old gelding and a almost 3 yr old gelding whom has not been under saddle yet, but is a sweetheart..i just recently purchased a 8 month old colt. I watched him being born and he was handled since birth up to my purchase of him. The first week or two he was a joy the kids could do anything with him (they are bothe 10 yrs) and now all the sudden he has become very dominent..kicks out...bucks..rears up..chasing them and me..i am wondering has he learned bad habits from other horses or maybe kids..or feed. I am feeding him 2 scoops a day of Stradegy and supplementing with TnA he is not in with other horses but share fence line right now...sometimes he will not even let us get out of truck for fear of being trampled. He has not been gelded yet as his gentils have not dropped. How do i handle this little brat without getting kicked.

You might try a board for PETS instead of one about PARENTING.
