For Windows XP -

Go to TOOLS.

Go to INTERNET OPTIONS

For Browsing History, click the DELETE button.

This brings you to the tab where you can delete your history, autocomplete information, etc. Click DELETE ALL to delete all your browsing history, or just choose which things to get rid of.

Are you perhaps talking about autocomplete? If so, go to your tools, internet options, and turn it off there. Then....go through the letters of the alphabet on the search bar, deleting everything that shows up.

That's just how the computer works; it keeps a running list of the searches you have done regardless of the search engine you used. Think that's what you may mean.
