In hospice nursing, I met thousands of people who were given a general idea of when they were going to die and basically what they did was want family to gather close, and, interestingly, they wanted a chance to make one more friend, someone new. I also saw the transcripts once from 25 -30 black box recordings taken from horrible commercial airline crashes. The recordings were all made in the cockpit with a pilot and a junior pilot during the last two minutes after an event and absolute knowledge that their death was about to happen. In every recording, one of the pilots calmly steadied the other, and one of the pilots, in every single recording, said something in farewell to his mother.

People would try to avoid their fate. So I'm supposed to die at noon at the OK Corral, eh? Well, then I'll be at the Bucket of Blood Saloon at noon instead. Like that. Now in your scenario, would they be able to avoid the fate? Then that's not "know when you are going to die," that's knowing when you MIGHT die. And if they could not avoid their fate -- somehow they got suckered into being at the OK Corral at noon -- then that's a level of predetermination that certainly is not apparent from the rest of the way we live.
See why there are limits to the "what if" kind of question? If you create one that is logically impossible, you don't get "what if," you get "can't happen."

Hi! It's a very good "what ifs" question.I have wonder about that myself.
Basically you have THE two answers to this question as of everybody who have already answer before. Either you accept it or you don't.
I thought it might help us as humans to really appreciated LIFE with all its goodness and even some bad. And If we started out bad and going to die bad then we might have the wills to do good. Make the life worth living before leaving it.
I would change one thing instead of knowing ALL details of our death. At least let you know at what age you will die that way you know if you are going to even finished grades school.
MMmmm...
There is NO easy way to make this formula to work just for our own sake. As one person told me that "Only God knows when you will die"

They would probably avoid the area they were suppose to die at and then lose their minds when the times comes for them to die whether they are at the place or not.

I think that this may drive people crazy. Who wants to know when they will die. People would try to avoid death any possible way.

It would depend on the people. I think it could go two ways...one being total denial and the other trying to live life to the fullest.

1- there would be total chaos.. people will try to avoid their death, and they will end up dying when they try to get away from it
2- we will just need to live with it... if we don't, we can change the future of the world forever. everyone has their own destiny

I think it would create a lot of unnecessary fear, and make it harder for people to make good decisions about how to live their lives. Perhaps that seems counter intuitive, but I think most of live really is counter intuitive.

the possibility would never work, because even if we knew where we would die, we could avoid it, therein dieing a different way.

At least we would have the opportunity to say goodbye to those we love or we would try to avoid our death until we were ready to go
