For me:
-Lexington, KY: EVERY time I go to Lexington, whenever I shop at Wal-Mart, Target, Sears, etc., NOBODY ever says "thank you," "have a nice day," etc. I understand it's like this up north, but come on, Lexington is a smaller city that's supposed to have "Southern hospitality." I live close to there, and I can tell you that Lexington is a joke!
2. Gulf Shores, AL. The cashier in this beachfront shop was a complete b*tch with the personality of less than a coke can. Ironic, though, b/c nearly everybody I've met from Alabama has been very decent and polite.

Longview, Texas. We moved here in May, last year. Still haven't found ANYONE who wants my business bad enough to be civil for it. I don't ask for worship, or begging or crawling. Just acknowledging my presence would be nice. My worst: I went into a Jack's Natural Foods, the cashier actually met my eyes, I know she saw me. Refused to answer me, speak to me, or check my purchases. Just stood there staring over my head. I finally left. I am not poor. I don't look poor. I don't smell bad. I just don't understand how someone could totally ignore a customer in the shop! And the ONLY customer in the shop, at that!

When a customer cussed me and a coworker out for something our boss had done. People in Florida are really great people greeters.
