My suggestion --
Go to Wal-Mart's laundry section and buy a bottle of spray starch. Mix equal parts of spray starch and water in a spray bottle. The bottled liquid starch is much cheaper and stronger than the spray starch.

Use liquid starch. Its by the spray kind in the store. Like one part starch and one part water. Spray on and let dry. Thats what I use when I makes doiles and ornaments.

There's a product called "Stiffen Stuff". You should be able to find it at any craft store.
