Running
by Leah B, 10
I run out the door, my cheeks stained with tears
the rain coming down hard, covering my body like a blanket
my bare feet hit the wet, unforgiving pavement
i run away from the familiar places, the familiar places i have known for so long
I run

The Breakup

I say hi
you say hi
i say why
you say bye
i say bye
and then i cry

You are here

You are here but also up above
You are here, next to me
you are here saying my name softly, like a birds song
you are here saying you love me
i try to touch you, but all i feel is cold air on my trembeling fingers
But you are here
You are here

Not bad at all. I encourage you to keep writing. Your work will only improve with time and effort.

They were all very good, but I especially liked the last one. Very nice and touching.....Sounds like it came from your heart. Keep it up, I look forward to reading your book of poems some day.

Frankly, it seems that you wrote a paragraph and then subsequently hit enter at the end of every sentence.

Then again, for 10, they aren't too bad.

yes they're good for a ten year old girl. keep writting they're some people who are much older and can't even write something as good as this. The more you write the better you write.

I honestly hate this poem. I have told several people this: it's generic. Where is your original voice? And your rhythm is amateurish.
