Okay, my period is four days late. I'm feeling nauseaus and peeing all the time, also feeling tired and a little lightheaded. I've had two babies before, and what I seem to be having are classic symptoms of pregnancy for me--both of my other pregnancies started this way! However, I've taken TWO home pregnancy tests (one today, one two days ago) and BOTH of them were negative. Hmmmm....So what's the deal? Has anyone else ever had this happen to them? My cycle is usually very regular and dependable. I should also mention that I have a one-year-old that I weaned three months ago, so I've only had two "monthly visitors" since having my baby, but they were both right on time. Also, we were not using any form of birth control last month, so I just assumed I was pregnant, and was surprised to find the tests come back negative. Anyway, I have a doctor's apt in 10 days, but I will of course wonder what's going on until then, so I thought I'd ask you guys.

Home pregnancy test aren't always 100% they could be wrong. Pregnancy isn't always the reason a period is late. It could be stress, change in weight or eating habits. It's important that you don't stress it because that'll cause you to miss your period all together. If I were you I would start making preporations for the baby (like eating healthy) just in case. And wait for your doctors appointment so that you know for sure.

I personally had negative results for a couple of weeks it was so frustrating it is very possible and you know you're body I swear people thought I was nuts even doctors I was getting tested for anything that causes pregnancy symptoms because I kept getting negatives so wait a bit and trust you're body if you get really frustrated check out hcgfn in yahoo groups I found these ladies to be quite helpful if you keep thinking you are pregnant and do not get answers I am a poster child for the group as it took me quite some time to finally get a positve result on a test amny women nenver do and go on to have healthy babies!! sorry so long also I had a negative blood test at the time that I was about 3 weeks along so sometimes home tests are more sensitive some women do not produce a lot of hcg from the get go

My wife used to miss her cycle during periods of high stress. It may take a little while longer for the HCG to reach the level the test requires. It also helps to use your first thing in the morning urine.
