If your test is Thursday, it's a little late to start working on it now. But for the future, just do 20 or so every day, pretty soon, you'll be able to do 25, then 30, etc.

Try practicing at home for a while. Start just slowly doing it. after a while do a push up then go down, then your in the down position spring yourself up really fast. when your up try and pick your hands off the ground and clap you hands. Therefore because of gravity you will fall down tom the floor. after the clap, HURRY and put your hands on the ground and catch yourself! or else you will smack your chest against the ground!!!
Hope this didn't sound to confusing! and good luck on Thursday!

Id practice with resistance and elevation and then when you go back to normal push ups it will seem easier.
For instance do 5-10 push ups with your feet elevated...then do 5-10 push ups with your hands as close to each other as you can get them. Then do 5-10 push ups wide armed or with weight on your back. Then return to normal push ups.
The variety will strengthen other muscles you use when you do push ups and will help you get better.

Practice, practice, practice! Do push-ups everyday, and each day, do more than the next. I would recommend starting with 50 a day, and each day do 20 more. =)

Practice. If you keep practicing even after your test then in the fall next year, you will do great!
