You will need to find out if your teacher wants credits listed in MLA or APA format (those are the two most common). Then use this website to help you figure it out:

At the end of all reasearch papers you put a works cited page here I'll show you mine for my paper on the manipulation of children through food advertising, it should look like this-

Work Cited

“Food Advertising to Children.” November 7, 2006. http://www.foodmuseum.com/issueadvertising.html, 2004-2005.

Lewis, Angie. Personal Interview. November 26,2006.

Schlosser, Eric and Wilson, Charles. Chew on This. New York City, New York: Houghton Miffin, 2006.

Strainstreet, Michelle. “Ronald McDonald Ad Ban Bid.” November 7, 2006. http://www.mcspotlight.org/campaigns/current/itcadban_99.html, October 10 1999.

Well it depends on what kind of source you used, there are different ways to source books, magazines, web pages, and articles.

But to be on the safe side, if you used a book I would put the name, date published, the authors, page you found it on, and date it was copywrited.
Also if it was a magazine do the same but put who wrote the article and everything. For a web put the web site, publishing date, who wrote it, name of article

Basically anyhthing that you can find about it. :)

well just write down a source. Did u use a book or an online website? if so write those websites down on the bottom of the last page on your essay. If you did not use any sources just write no source

Include a bibliography and use either footnotes or endnotes.
Find a copy of Strunk & White's "The Elements of Style" for detailed instructions on how to use both forms and how to format a bibliography.

these are your words from your source (from: what your source is )

^ this is giving credit to your source

then at the end of your paper, include a bibliography [just in case]

You're probably using MLA format. If you're copying word for word, put it in quotes:

"Billy ran up the hill" (www.billy.com).

(Note that the period goes after the last parentheses.

If you're not copying word for word, it's the same, but drop the quotes.

If you have an author's last name, that takes precedence over the web address. Use the author's name if you have it. If not, use the short web address (end at .com)

Good Luck

You need a bibliography page. Have you looked in your English book? Also, check out this site:
