I read his replacement will only be there 30 days, I hope this sabbatical is not health related and await his return. Does anyone have any inside info????

I have read several articles on Mr. Petersen. They basically stated that he wanted to do some stage and theatre works. Plus, it also stated that he feels burnt out and type-cast. Several of the articles went on to suggest that he may make limited appearances on the remaining episodes. There is a big question of if he will return for the next season.

Billy Petersen was in Rhode Island during the month of Dec. doing a play called "A DUBLIN CAROL". The play ended on Jan 7th so Billy is scheduled to be back at work this week to resume his role as Gil Grissom.

He's only going to be gone to do some theater work. He'll be back to the show, don't worry. If you saw the episode where he left he said "i'll be back in 4 weeks"
