Centrifugal force only reduces your weight by about 0.3%, so it would make virtually no difference to your weight if the earth stopped spinning. If you weigh 100 lb, you'd weigh 100.3 lbs when the earth had stopped.

Your weight would increase slightly if the earth stopped spinning. This happens because the force of gravity would no longer need to accelerate you in a circle. The equation to solve is below

Gm1m2/r^2=mv^2/r + mg......mg is your weight....mv^2/r is the centripetal force. GMM/R^2 is the gravitational force.

The gravitational force is due to the mass of the earth and the objects mass. It will remain the same if the earth stops spinning. You can see the weight(mg) would increase by the centripetal force(mv^2/r) amount if the centripetal force was removed.

Centrifugal force is actually the byproduct of inertial (the tendency of an object to continue moving in the same direction, and gravity (the force drawing on object toward another). Weight is the force exerted by gravity. As long as the mass of the objects involved and the distance between them remain constant, weight remains constant.

I remember from physics in high school that there really is no such thing as centrifugal force, because it is just a name for the effects of centripital force. centripital force is the force that pulls inward,(gravity) and centrifugal force is the force that pushes outward. I don't know if that made sense, but I honestly remember my teacher saying there is no such thing as centrifugal force.

centrifugal is a fake force... it is inertia...

You'd never find out, because we'd all die. Hello.
