Good for you. And REMEMBER . . . it's like throwing yourself across a field. No one can really do that, throw themselves across a field. But, guess what? If you keep doing it, just throwing yourself a few feet farther every time, get up, do it again, get up, do it again, get up, do it again, IT WORKS. And, then guess what? You find out that getting across the stupid field was never what it was all about. It's about the passion and joy and drama and thrill of living simply in the act of throwing yourself that is the greatest pleasure of all in being alive. : ) Now get out there and find a mate who knows how to really live, too.

I think everyone sets these goals. And then no one ever follows through. These are some big changes. Even if you can stick to them at first, you will undoubtedly start to slip back into your old behavior patterns. The best way to make changes is to start small. Make a plan of what it is you want to do and then follow through on it. Aim to workout once a week, then gradually bump it up. The same goes for the rest of your goals here.
Rather than setting yourself up for failure with these big overwhelming changes, take it one step, one day at a time. Good luck!

Make a list of things you want to accomplish. Start at 100 ideas. The ideas can range from simple to extremely difficult. Once you realize what you want, ask yourself, what will it take to get you there i.e. other people, money, devotion, time, etc. I pulled my head out of my butt when I was 26 and decided after accomplishing some of the things on my list that I would research my family history. It was in Sweden and required about $6000. I worked out, ate on the ship (I was in the Navy), and only treated myself to one movie on base per week. I went all the way to Sweden and began what I thought would be a long job of researching family members. Turns out there was a book the family had kept for years and retrieved all the information in two days. I ended up going to the fjords in Narvik Norway, seeing the reindeer in Finland, having great sex with Arianne Denkers, meeting up with pen pals from Goteborg, Malmo and Stockholm. After that I traveled home for the holidays in Minnesota and returned to San Diego and went onto a diving trip for a week. Once you find your focus and keep filling up your list, you will find there is nothing you can't do. Note: If you get married, it could put a hamper on all that. Good luck! Stay focused!

That is a very smart thing to do. You must do it for yourself, life as you get older gets more difficult, and if at a young age you start getting your life together, get a good education, and get a good job, you will at least have a good life and not have to worry about money the way most people do. Its very hard living from one pay check to another. You can make your life easier, and be happier, if you acquire a job you enjoy doing and have a good education. Everything else then, will fall into place!

Sounds like a plan...you are on the right track. But maybe you shouldn't set your goals too high. Working out is great start with that first. Then when you feel good about that go onto the other things. Sometimes we think we have the world by the *** but our expectations are too hard on our self. Everyone likes to make positive changes in their lives and you sound like a very sensible person but please make your goals more achievable by taking them on one at a time.

Toss the old habits that weren't productive. Practice only one new task for a time until that becomes your new habit.
I was married. Now, I am not. I have the time to do what I want. And, I am in no hurry to get it all at once.
Everything will come together, eventually. I can wait.

It's pretty hard to change everything at once, especially if you take on too much. I did something similar and burned out mid-semester. A lot of fun can go out the window when you try too hard to program yourself.
A got a fortune cookie the other day; it says,
"To understand is hard; once you understand, action is easy."
So if you fully understand the benefits of your proposed lifestyle changes, they will happen almost automatically.

If you can stay motivated enough then go for it. I have personally tried it and I gave up after about 2 weeks. Everyone is different just keep thinking positive.
