The native resolution of most 19" widescreen LCDs are 1440 x 900. I wonder if most games will support this.

previous answer is good, I bought and use a 32 inch wide screen LCD TV as a monitor and it looks great. just needed a little adjustment to correct for over scaling and finding the resolution that worked best.

That's kind of off. 17" is usually 1440, but anyways.

Yeah most new games, like movies, are programmed on widescreen LCDs and you do get to see more. My friend Matt has a 22" and he sees us when we don't see him.

Nice LAN equipment, haha.

fisrt i recommend not buying that lcd with that resoulution. if you are to buy a 19" lcd try looking for resolutions of 1280x1024 or something similar as this will support all games as well as look better than the 1440x900. if you want to stay with that lcd you will still be able to run any game on it as your video card will control all resoution specs and native resolution usually means that it is the maximum it may support without looking like..."crap" :)

All games "support" all resolutions, dude. But the thing is your games will look distorted (things will look wider because it's widescreen). But if there is a setting to use only part of the screen, no problem.

you can adjust the resolution in the video card settings to match what you want to see on the screen.not all resolutions look good. you just have to use what looks best to you while playing
