yes i'ts centered and most of the time i try to scan papers and it doesn't show

From the picture, it looks as if the illuminated bar that sweeps across the piece of paper being scanned isn't actually moving from its start-position on the right. It should be moved by a motor in the scanner, so that it scans every vertical lines of the piece of paper. The motor may not be operating.
Try scanning with the lid up and see if the bar moves. Watch your eyes! If it doesn't move, your scanner may be faulty.
When you've done that, tell us all the result by adding more detail to your question.
Scanners and printers with scanners are so cheap that its cheaper to buy a new one than to pay for repairs.
The bulb in the scanner may have blown. These can be replaced at a reasonable price.
