He spends 4 or 5 days a week with me. He nor his wife are happy with each other. I don't want to split up a marriage but all would be much happier. My ex ran off with his old gf and are now married. He and I were never meant to be together and are both happier for it. Everyone says don't get involed with a married man but aren't their some exceptions.

Thanks for all the responses...I have said all of the above to myself. I met him on a dating site not knowing at the time he was married. Why am I still around???Beats the Hell out of me. It's not for sex because he can't but i love him just the same. we have so much fun together. Why can't his wife be with someone who treats her good as she deserves. I'm 57 and need to get moving. He's not with me now because I live with my elderly parents and take care of my mom.

There are no exceptions!! Any man that cheats on his wife is going to cheat on other women as well. So, if he divorces his wife and marries you, he will cheat on you as well. He is using his and his wife's unhappiness as an excuse to have sex with you. He is using you. You need to respect yourself and dump the guy.

Well I think that there are exceptions too. If he spends that much time with you then he should just make the final move.Sometimes people get married and realize that it wasn't a good idea after the fact. But if what you two have found is what you both have been looking for then so be it. And if she hasn't done anything about him staying with you 4-5 days a week then she doesn't really care either. So I hope it works for you. Has he said that he wants to leave and is waiting for you to say what you want? I think he needs to decide asap.

Trifling, trifling, trifling. There is never any excuse for dating a married person. What's sad is that you THINK that you and him being together is going to make you happy. After he gets tired of you, what do you think he will resort to? Another woman. It's just a vicious cycle. If he can't even be faithful to his wife, then how in the heck can he be faithful to you? Put your thinking cap on.

I personally would not date a married man. How do you know if his wife is happy? Is it just his word? He really may not be planning to leave his wife and is just stringing you along. Save yourself some trouble and be with someone who is free to be with you. He is not free to be with you whether he is happy or not.

I think you are rationalizing your behavior. I don't think you can speak for his wife.
I can't agree with you and I would say that if he were going to leave her he would already be gone.
I suspect you are the one about to be made unhappy. My advice is to get out now, while you can. Let him come to you a free man with divorce papers in hand and then, and only then, consider a relationship with him.

I would never date a married man. How would you feel if it was your husband dating someone else? If he is that unhappy, why doesnt he leave? You are only hearing what he is telling you. Wise up. You are in for a big heartbreak.

If hes not happy with his wife, then why is he still with her?? You shouldnt have anything to do with a married man, happily or not. His poor wife probably has no idea whats going on, or if she does, and she cant do anything about it. Do her a favor and stop seeing him.

If he wants to be with you, what is the hold up? If he is truly unhappy with his wife, why is he still married to her? That's always the case anyway, huh? They lead you to believe they are unhappy and feed you all the stories to demonize their wives.
