I agree with the person who said go to the back of the store! That's where the best sales are. When shopping for clothes, look for things that you can wear year round, can layer and are fairly classic and neutral. They'll go a long way. Don't buy anything too trendy unless it's super inexpensive. When buying food, look for buy one-get one free deals in the weekly grocery ads, then look for manufacturers's coupons published the same week. Sometimes they match up. Then stock up.

Always look at the back of the store. The sale racks usually are around there. Some stores sell damaged clothes, like clothes missing a button, for 70% off. Even if something is only ten bucks, if it's on a half price rack, ask what the price is and you might get it for five.
