There's a free MMORPG out called MapleStory. It's got a very cute style and is highly addictive. You download the client from their website. It runs from your desktop, and there are several servers to play on.
There are different versions of the game depending where you are in the world -- Maple Global is in English, but there's also a Korean, Japanese, Chinese, European version, etc. You need Internet Explorer to access the website.
