Lay off the douching. It's really bad for you. Don't use monostat or other products unless you are sure you have an infection.
Get a great mirror and check the sore spot. It could be anything from an ingrown hair to being rubbed raw during intercourse. Give it a rest. Don't have intercourse until it heals. Keep the area dry but do not use powders to do so. Wear breathable cotton panties. As much as possible, allow it air by not wearing panties while in bed at least. If it doesn't heal within 4-5 days, I'd check with a doctor.

Are you talking about the inner fold of your labia? If so it could be a blocked pore, or a little cyst starting to form,(yes you can get one there) Take a mirror, and look to see if that spot is a little redder than the rest(since it's all pink, it can be hard to spot) Also feel around the sore area, for a small bump, if you find one, soak in a warm bath, and then gently squeeze to see if a little puss comes out, if this is the case, it will clear up in a few days, don't put any cream there. If this is not the case (the easy one), then you probably are getting a blocked gland, which has to be opened by your gyno, Lets hope it's just a little cyst

hi. first of all, can you be a little more detailed about exactly where and how it is sore? (inside the vagina? underneath it? near the clitoris?)
second, you should never douche. not when you're healthy, and definitely not when you have any kind of infection, irritation, or soreness. it's just not good for that delicate area.
don't use monistat for pain -- that should only be used for a yeast infection, which primary symptom is itching, not pain.
and the answerers above me are absolutely right: it could be anything from a small tear in the skin, to bruising from sex. just be a little more specific, and i'll check back in and see if i can offer more info. :)

Could be just irritated skin - maybe a tear or scratch from sex or something. I had this happen a while ago. I had went for a pap that day and had sex that night and the next morning I was really sore exactly where you're describing. I was worried something was wrong but it went away after a couple days.

If the monostat did not work, then you may have an underlying infection. It also could be a lymph node. I would suggest seeing your Dr. right away. It is probably not a major thing, but you may need antibiotics. If you are put on antibiotics, make sure you eat lots of yogurt during that time to prevent yeast infection.

First: don't douche!! It is not necessary for genital health and really only messes up that area! The tv ads want us women to think we're unclean and unsanitary w/out douching, but that's total hardsell advertising...and completely false!!
I really don't know what could be causing the soreness. If it remains that way, you should probably call an advice nurse through your health plan.
