This is unnecessary. I was worried that my battery would lose some of its capacity if I kept topping it up without discharging it completely so I used to take it out whenever I used the power cable. I found out that with Lithium-Ion batteries, which is what I had (and is the type of battery most common in laptops) it is completely safe to keep topping it up with power even if you use it only a little bit each time. None of the capacity will be lost this way. On the other hand, these batteries lose approximately 20% of their capacity every year, and this can increase if stored at temperatures above 25 degrees C. So, poorly ventilated laptops that let your battery get hot can decrease its lifespan. I dont bother taking mine out anymore, its better to have a full battery ready when you need it!

The Thinkpad is designed to allow the battery to remain in whether the power cord is attached or not.

when u use computer with the power cord that will give complete power to each part of your laptop and if you will run this on battery then computer will divide the power into different parts but if you have complete BATTERY so you can take out the power cord but put it back after 50% becoz this will help your battery to maintain and your laptop will give you good results with completed power.

If don't put your laptop on power all the time and discharge your battery fully and then charge it fully there is no harm in keeping your batter attached all the time. But if you have a habit to keep your laptop plugged in with power then it is better charge the battery fully and take it off and consume it later when laptop is not connected with power.
Connect your laptop with power when your batter is low and it need to be recharged.

No, I never take the battery out of mine when using the power cable. For one thing, if the lights blink and you don't have your battery in, you will lose stuff.

you dont need to take it out, although if you are using it to charge your battery, once the battary is finished charging run your laptop of your battery and not your power cord because you will damage the battery (future wise) as well as heat up the laptop to extream temps...

Absolutely not! NEVER do that. It charges the battery even when you are working.
