In Other Words, I am confused by the way current flows. If it flows from + to -, then which side of the battery has got the higher potential, the + or the - one?

By convention, the positive side will be Va. Which leads to the question of "what is electric current?" If is electrons, doesn't it flow from the negative to the positive. Some say it is holes and flows in the opposite direction. Personally, I buy electrons simply because vacuum tubes wouldn't work otherwise.
