Is Iran helping groups that oppose U.S. forces in Iraq? How might Iran be doing this? Is there proof of this? And how should the U.S. respond to this situation?

Iran is winning the war in Iraq.
The US is losing.
The more troops that the US sends to Iraq to help the "government" of Iraq, the more Iran wins.
You are ignorant of who a SHIITE is, who a KURD is, and who a SUNNI is if you do not see this.

Yes - it has been going on for quite some time. Recently, the US troops in Iraq have taken action to try and stop the weapons flow from Iran.

There is nothing that the U.S. can do at this point, true or not true.
It's a civil war between factions. Iran has a considerably stronger military than Iraq had when we first invaded, and our military has been stretched thin as it is. No sane general would provoke a second front to this war by attacking Iran.

yes they are helping. they are sending fighters who train, money to hire people, and weapons to fight with.
yes there is proof, there have been lots of weapons found that were manufactured in Iran, and clearly marked as having been so. there were lots of them found last month.
IMO it is an act of war on the part of Iran. the US should respond by continuing its fight and if Iran wants to escalate it, we can accommodate them.

Our response should be this, get the heck out of Iraq. Being in Iraq has united two countries who are normally enemies to fight a common enemy, us. A blind person can see we are in a lost cause "over there".

They have been funding and sponsoring them for years providing them with weapons etc. Remember when they held Americans hostage for years with the fanatical extremeist cleric radicals? They hate us and they hate Israel. Their leader does not even recognize that the Holocaust even happened so that should give you some insight. The USA needs to take military action against wherever the terroists are period.

yeah they have a right to help insurgents didn't america create and help taliban, mujahideen and alqueda attack thye soviets in afghanistan this is history repeating itself
