at least a laptop that can play oblivion my budget is $1,500

hey man $2k desktops have trouble playing oblivion! - but since you didnt mention settings, i expect medium would be okay -
go for a Toshiba Satellite with 1.8GHz core 2 duo, 2GB ram and nvidia geforce 7600 graphics - its really powerful and its around $1500

Cheap gaming laptop good luck. Something like a Sager can but would go over your budget.

find one that has a 128 MB to 256 MB video ram if it has "shared video ram" its not the best for gaming. it should also have 1GB to 2 GB of system ram. I have owned several Gateway Notebooks and love them I have never had a ounce of problems. My previous one lasted 6 years hope this one lasts as long.

I still suggest a desktop but you must have a duo core processor in anything thats going to play that game

upgrade to $2,000 and check out this site when it comes up and running again
