Could it be because of my processor? I have a Toshiba Genunie Intel(R) CPU, T2050 @ 1.60GHZ, 1.60 GHZ, 504 MB of RAM.

Under normal circumstances the computer has very little to do with whether you can download a file. You may have an issue with your browser.
