In the film "The World, the Flesh and the Devil" (1959) there are three people who survive the end of the world. The world ends shortly after the movie opens. One survivor is a white man (Mel Ferrer) the other two are an African-American man (Harry Belafonte) and a white woman (Inger Stevens). The movie follows their struggle to survive and get along with each other. A jealous romantic triangle ensues with both men vying for the love of the woman. Near the end of the movie the woman chooses the white man over the African-American man and the two go off on their own leaving him behind. It is assumed at the end of the movie the white couple died which meant the African American man was the sole-survivor of the film. The movie is little known and under appreciated but very good. I highly recommend it.

I saw a low budget werewolf movie on cable not too long ago. The black guy was the survivor and got the chick!
I don't remember that name of it but it was re-run on Sci Fi channel. I think he was the survivor because he was the ONLY PERSON IN THE MOVIE WHO COULD ACT!

John Carpenter's film 'The Thing' ends with the main white guy AND the main black guy BOTH surviving. :-) Also, NOTLD, Ben lives (until shot after-the-fact).

I think Night of the Living Dead (the original one)... Ben wasn't the last man, but he was pretty close...
