It's a conditon called plantar fasciitis, and it is caused by abnormal strain and inflammation of the plantar fascia, the connective tissue that covers the bottom of the foot. connecting the heel bone to the base of the toes.
Not wearing heels for a while may make it better, but you also might need to treat the condition with anti-inflammatory meds. There is a treament you can do by rolling a cold soda can with the sole of your foot - that might also relieve the pain. Wearing high heels will make it flare up again, and will continue to do so. Sorry.

high heels put a lot of pressure on the balls of your feet, not to mention the arch support is totally gone.
Shoes, no matter the heel height, should feel natural and like a second skin - not like a torture device.
Lower the heel and wear a more comfortable style.
And, btw, to some men, sneakers are very sexy. But it's not about the shoe - it's about the woman wearing the shoe. If you know who you are, others will know who you are, too. If you think you're a kid, others will, too, and they will certainly see you putting on an act with shoes that don't fit well or are not right for you.
But if you're confident when you walk with the right pair of shoes on (heel, sneaker, it doesn't matter), others will see that and be drawn to you. It's not about height - it's about confidence.

That problem happens to you and me and so many other women. Are your experiencing the burning on the BALL of your foot? (The area just below the toes.) Is that a calloused area from wearing high heels? If so, I sympathize. I use these little GEL inserts that are just for that area. Usually two sets come in a pack for about five bucks. You may want to also pair the GEL's up with Dr. Scholls shoe pad for the whole foot.
Also, when you buy new ones, (if you don't already) you may want to consider going 1/2 size larger. A tight fitting high heel is devastating! (Strappies are different. You need them to fit tight for support on the ankle.)

It's normal. I wear heels all the time and that happens with certain pairs. Find a pair of heels that are well made and have a padded footbed. Otherwise you can try those insole things. I've never used them before, but I've heard they work. Also, buy a pair of slippers to wear around the house once you take the heels off. They'll help your feet feel better faster.

You may have shoes that are not well-balanced.
All high heels are not made the same. Some have good balance that does not stress your feet AS MUCH. But they still will because let's face it, this is not a normal position/shape for feet to be in.
With shoes you often get what you pay for. Try a little lower heel, and go to a good shoe store and try on lots of shoes. You will find something to wear that doesn't have to kill your feet.

Your shoes are probably too tight, or you have an awkward fit. Try investing in more expensive heels. Heels, in general should not be uncomfortable for most people. If you still have problems, see a podiatrist or stop wearing heels all together.
