It's not uncommon to feel comforted around big women regardless of race. I think it's because they seem more maternal to people who perhaps missed some maternal affection in childhood. Who knows.

Whatever works for you, but I'm personally uncomfortable around any REALLY heavy people (like moribdly obese, can't even fit in a first class airline seat kind of heavy).

I guess they would be if you are assuming that their body type is a sign that they are good cooks.
Also it's an old nanny stereotype that I assume most black women hate.

No its not just u, its the fact that if shes big she eats good, and if she eats good she will feed you good, which will comfort u.
