Tomorrow I am getting a blood test to determine my HCG levels. If I don't eat for more than a couple a hours, I get dizzy and nauseous...
If I have a yogurt or something 3-4 hours before the test, will it affect the results?

*they are only testing my HCG levels...

Thank you.

No. what you eat wouldn't change the result.
If you get dizzy and nauseous make sure you eat before or bring some food to eat afterwards.
Good luck

Yes, it's safe to eat. It's advisable to eat a lite meal before a blood test to decrease the risk of nausea, blackout, lightheadedness and fainting during the test. Horomones double every 48 hours. However, if it's an ectopic pregnancy, they might double only every week. Opposite with twins, levels can more than double every 48 hours. Your 1st test should've been enough for a definitive positive. If your dr. wants to do another test, it's possible (s)he suspects one of the above. Just eat a lite meal and you'll be fine.

When I got mine, my doctor told me I could eat, so I did and everything was perfectly fine. I know the feeling of not eating for a few hours cause especially when you're pregnant, you feel super dizzy. So don't fast, you'll be fine :)

Since they are ONLY testing for Hcg levels, it should be fine if you eat before the test. However, if you are unsure, you should talk to your OB physican.

I think I could not eat when I had this done. If your test is not 1st thing you should call your doctor. Maybe they should reschedule it so you can go first thing in the am so it wont be that bad.

No that should be fine, unless the doctor specifically told you not to eat anything for a certian period of time before.
