who did this statistic?? how is it possible to evaluate how many serial killers there are in the world?

i don't believe they are. i would like to know the source of that statistic--i believe it is in error. we may have a higher percentage than third world countries, but i think they can be found anywhere. it is easier to get away with it in industrialized nations, because large groups of people congregate in cities. it is easier to be anonymous and unseen in cities. if you were to murder someone in a small tribe or village, you'd get found out before it got out of hand and led to multiple killings.
