how do i connect my cellphone to a computer with a usb connection?

When searching for info you need to search using 2 seperate words for the model number - MOTOKRZR K1m

You need a cable to connect your MOTOKRZR K1m phone to the USB socket on your computer (either on the back or the front of your computer). If you didn't get one with your phone, you can buy one fairly cheaply on eBay.com complete with a CD full of software to handle transferring files between the phone and the computer (see eBay link). You can use the software to backup your phone numbers, transfer ring-tones and wallpaper pictures, etc. Just insert the CD and it should auto-run an installation program and there should be a help menu in the program or a user guide document file.

2nd link has a manual you can download and read for your phone and other info. If you search for 'USB', you'll see that pages 35-37 cover transferring files via USB.

3rd link is a question about USB settings on the phone. It may or may not be relevent.

It's my understanding that there is a program that is required to operate your phone using your computer...it runs nearly $90. Why would you want to hook your phone to your computer anyway. There's Skype if you want to use the internet to make phone calls. And internet is cheaper than the program.
