NO there isn't. Even an attempt at self nose piercing can leave you at risk for the whole spectrum of infections. Go to a licensed place and get it done. Make sure all the tolls used are either new or sterilized. Ask them how they clean their equipment and remember if you are not comfortable with anything you see in there get out. You can get all types of things from such establishments. Ask Questions it is better to be safe than sorry. I apologize if I sound like some body's mom. I'm just a teenager but Health class has trained me right.

Years ago i had my nose pierced with something called a sleeper. It looks like a small hoop earring but it has two needle points on both ends. You put it on your nose like you were going to wear it and everyday you push it through a little more.It sounds like it hurts but believe me it will be numb. That was when i was 14 and I'm now 31 and still have my nose pierced. They usually sell these in hair stores. You can also use it to pierce your ears.Just make sure you place the points exactly where you want the hole at.Hope this helps.

I am sure you do not want to be talked out of this. There are so many other less deformative things you can do for yourself.
Assuming you will proceed, go to a professional. If you mess up and get a nose cartilage infection, you will regret doing this for the rest of your life because of the deformity that can result. Below is a webpage showing complications of piercings.

Use a safety pin that you have set a match to to sterilize the pointed end and use the other to help you push it through. Try to make the hole as large as possible move the pin around a bit and then put your nose ring as soon as possible. the hardest part is to make your hole real straight. It can be done. The nose is cartiledge so it really doesn't hurt that bad. The gun is the fastest straightest easiest way to get it done if you can.

human beings's tolerance for discomfort is distinct. I had my nostril pierced two times, and it did not damage in any respect. I lost my piercing the first time, and took continuously to change it, so i had to pierce it back. Use the needle (is it even accessible to do it with a gun, on the nostril?). Take the conventional precautions and it shouldn't get infections... Mine did not even get pink or something. Now my ear piercing, THAT gave me difficulty. It were given contaminated and damage and bled for 8 months, earlier I had to punch in a hollow over the unique one myself, purely then it all started healing. that's a lot a lot less stressful than those gun images on the ear! those hurrrrrrt! :P playstation : ask them to "round lock" the "hook" interior your nostril, so that you do not lose it..... may damage often times at the same time as it receives stuck on, say, a sleeve, in case you by coincidence scratch your face, yet a minimum of you received't free your piercing. it really is how I lost mine, scratching my eyes contained in the morning and it were given tangled in my sweater. :/

Please don't do it yourself. I know more and more people who do it at home and not one of them has ended well. For me it was only $25 and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes really. I didn't hurt at all. If you do it at home you risk serious infection, a butt load of pain (due to hesitation and simple not having the knowledge or equipment to do it properly), possibly not getting the right angle. Just get it done by a professional.

Sure you'll probably get people tell you how but there is always risk of infection. Or maybe getting the angle/position wrong and being a laughing stock. It can't be that expensive to get a professional to do it. Do you know they get training so they can do it safely?

To avoid infections...especially since the nose breathes irritants in the air, I suggest going to have it done by someone that is certified...

Getting it done professionally would be a lot less painful. And you will be less likely to get an infection. So if you really want it done i think going to a professional would be the best thing to do....
