Which names would you recommend for a beautiful owl (apart from Hedwig, Hoot etc), I happen to be stuck for ideas!

I hope you do not have an owl- it is highly illegal b/c they are protected under the raptor protection act. You will get the same fine as if you tried to keep a bald eagle which includes jail time and 10k+ in fines.

I guess it kind of depends on how much time you will be spending with them and whether you want to be known as "the old lady and her Owls" lady when your kids are grown up and have left the house. I once went through a phase where I named most of the things in my apartment but it came to a head one day when I was making breakfast and I couldn't remember the frying pans name. I am sure the rest of the appliances have been spreading rumors about me ever since. It's sometimes not good to live alone. :P

I hand raised two baby barn owls in the 1970's when their nest was disturbed and their mom left them. We named them "Ponzone" and "Poncho", they were totally awesome. When they were able to live on their own we set them free. But they returned to the backyard to eat every now and then. They make totally wonderful "watch dogs"......

my friend has an owl and he calls it olivia.. funny thing is she found out it wasnt a girl and so she calls it oscar.. lmao..
