every woman is different
some times it increase (maybe because she feels more free because she knows she will not get pregnant)
some times decreases (can be painful due to thinning of skin and dryness)

Yes, a woman's sex drive can lower just before, during and after the onset of menopause...it's hormonal. It can be different for every woman.
And to answer the second half of your question...yes, alcohol intake (if not in moderation) is a definite mood killer (for both sexes!)
Also, the hormone change during menopause can cause depression in some women, which is another cause for lowered libido. All three of these things need to be addressed by a professional.

I'm sure sex drive does get lowered by drinking because alcohol is a sedative- and I'm sure it happens for both men and women and whether or not they are going through menopause.
And yes, menopause does lower sex drive because hormones are fluctuating and even lowering. As to how much- it depends on the woman- everyone is different.
And who ever said good conversation wasn't an aphrodisiac? I'd suggest laying off the alcohol and start appreciating your woman for her intellectual prowess.

I would say it depends, but usually after menopause, it's know that many women lose their sex drive.. It might just be hormonal but it is real,, it can also be dramatic, I don't know about drastic ?
Drinking usually helps sex drive, but in a menopausal women this could have quite the opposite effect , Many women experience depression during this time ,, just be patient, stand by her, she will be fine ................
good luck to you
great question

it does lower, but it is not drastic. the reason is because the hormones have changed, and the basic instinct to reproduce is gone. Women can enjoy intimacy as long as they have a loving and considerate mate

i don't know about drinking affecting it. but women are differently in the physical sense. for some it can stay the same, others it may drop, and last but not least it may sky rocket.
