If you have a girl and you call her Tiffany Jane he can call her TJ. Ben is a lovely name. Give him a baby name book and tell him to look through and highlight any names he likes. Then highlight the ones you like and the discuss sensibly the ones you both like. Remind him that your child will have this name for life and while it might sound cool now it will probably sound corny later!

Let me inform you of something real quick... He is only your B/F
he doesn't get to make any decision about anything until he puts a ring in your finger. Also- is he going through labour, the weight gain, the vomitting. He gets no opinion, if he gets a corn cob up his butt and leaves you, you are stuck with s kid named TJ or a child named after a car. Name them something elegant. Like Lila or Eian( the Irish spelling of Ian). Also draft child support papers for the child,( automatic deposit) .

It should be a mutual desicion between the two of you. You should come to an agreement on the names. Or you can cut a deal...if it's a boy he can pick the name and if it's a girl you can pick. This is what my fiance' and I did for our two boys. Our first son's name is Trey...and at first I really didn't like it, but now I couldn't imagine him being called anything else! :0)

Good luck with your desicion and congrats on your pregnancy!!

Thats a tough one sweetie it took my hubby and I a long time to agree on names I am more into off the wall stuff and he is more traditional it is a major compromise I like both of your choices and I think you should evaluate the wide variety of names for either sex and find one you both will love my choices are Ashlynne Michelle and Daniel Allen I will know which I will be using soon I hope good luck!!

I wouldn't call your child Mersadies, not much of a power name. Can you picture someone who is CEO of a large corporation with the name Mersadies??? Pick a power name!!!

I like T.J for a boy, he can be named Thomas Joseph hehe or something.

I would take the names, your and his and make a name like that. In that way you both will have named the baby. Take care and I hope this helps you.

Your names are better than his. Do what I did when I wanted my husband to come around to the names I chose, use them a lot so he gets used to them and they'll sound better to him.

Your names sound better. Your b/f names don't sound strong at all. Convince him to like yours!

Good luck and congrats!
