Revamped Pirates of the Caribbean Ride?

Question

Do you like the Pirates of the Caribbean Ride more now that they added Captain Jack Sparrow and co.? Or did you like it better the way it was?

The revamped ride isn't much different from the original. So I can't really say that I like it any more than before. I do understand why Disney added Captain Jack Sparrow to the ride -- Disney is all about marketing!

The additions of Captain Jack were minimal in comparison to the whole ride. I do like the Davy Jones Effect that was added in. Also the upgrade of the Sound system and other effects were very well done. But since you asked if we like it more, well I liked this ride before and adding these has not changed how I feel about it, other than being glad that they are still taking care probably of one of the most classic rides.

Also, the drops are NOT bigger. They did not change the structure of the ride only the scenes.

These are in reference to the Disneyland version, I do not know what was done on the WDW Version in Florida but I did hear it was not as extensive.

Well, it's interesting, to say the least. I think it's a neat addition to the ride, but honestly? In the beginning, I HATED the idea of them changing it. I also hated the stupid "politically correct" changes they made to some of the women animatronics and stuff.

I used to work at Disneyland, so it was hard for me to imagine the ride being changed to fit a MOVIE (no matter how good the movie actually was!). I just wasn't so sure about it. I finally rode it after the changes and decided it wasn't so bad. There's some very cool effects they added.
I still miss the OLD SKOOL ride though....=P Probably always will.

the revamped ride is not much different at all. you see an occasional jack sparrow and co. but the rest of it is very original. i liked the original but honestly, i think they should revamp the whole thing after seeing the difference between the robots from then and the new robots. they are just much nicer looking. i love the ride either way.

Ya. it is pretty cool now. It has WILL AND SPARROW in it, I mean how can it get any better!!! Yes, I do like it better though! But hey...Im the Pirates of the caribbean worlds best fan so Hey!!!

The new addition of Jack Sparrow was kind of cool, but other than that, I liked the old version of the ride.

There wasn't that many differences. many times upload-ons. i grow to be ashamed that Disneyland truly performed into the action picture. i trust that it takes faraway from that classic pirates journey only to feed into the pirates action picture. i will comprehend why they'd do this.. what with each and each of the object & sales that it has delivered into it. yet I do sense like it takes faraway from the magic. that's amazingly unhappy to entice close that this one journey is that has suffered the most simply by outdoors international. It grow to be unhappy even as each and each of the girls complained about the lads chasing after the girls. & now that's even more suitable unhappy to be sure that it has replaced only becasue of a movie. yet i wager i'm the style to imagine that if some thing is nicely sufficient that's going to in trouble-free words be left on my own. obviously i'm dissatisfied in the hot journey.

It was ok as it was, and it doesn't make that much of a difference that they added characters from the movie to it. But I guess people would kind of expect them to be in the ride since those were the main characters in the movie.

I think that it is a nice touch to the new generation. Walt was always wanting DL to change as the demographic did. However, I'm a purist and absolutely LOVE the way it used to be...

I think both are actually possibly the same..... Just the new one has Captain Jack Sparrow in it and the drops are a little bit bigger.... Both of them are my favorite!!
