Located right on Lake Michigan. Beautiful all year round, and has a lot of things to do and a lot of history. AND it's never really crowded or busy :)

I'll have to vote for Provincetown, at the tip of Cape Cod.
"We were here the second weekend of September, and you can see the streets are already getting visitors. They get up, go for a morning stroll, have some breakfast, and browse the little stores, or go down by the pier and sit a spell."

I've seen a lot of them...
Seattle is beautiful, so is Portland, Oregon. Sedona, AZ is amazing... driving from dwtn Miami, FL to S. Beach is beautiful too! San Francisco and many more! There are too many to list.
