It's better than Disney World.

I'll always have a spot in my heart for Disneyland. Besides being a former Cast Member (I used to work there for 4 years), I was an annual passholder as a teen, and a yearly visiter to the park since I was two. Disneyland is like home to me.

I've asked myself why I like it so much? But really, it's simple: It's a place where I can leave the ugliness of the outside world, outside those gates...I can use my imagination, I can run wild and be silly...I have an excuse to gorge myself on sweets all day...etc. There's something about it that just brings me back to being a kid. And I'm so excited that I get to share that with my daughter now.

The politics of working there left me with some definite ups-and-downs about my expereince...but I can always say one thing sincerely: It was my favorite job, and I have some great memories from the place.

As far as I know, Disneyland was the first "theme" park.
Also, Walt's ideals, striving for a wholesome atmosphere, where people of any age, race, or background can have a good time. (The world could use a few more places like that!)

When I was a kid I loved it for the shear magic of it all. I'd never seen anything like it, and it left a real impression on me. Now that I have kids of my own I love it because there aren't many places we can go that EVERYONE agrees on! It's great to let your hair down with the teens, and not have them look at you like you're a freak, cause you want to have fun.

Yeah, it's expensive, but there are ways to keep costs down. The memories are worth the cost!

I like Disney because it's a whole package. Not just a few rides, but rides for everyone's tastes. Not just a few restaurants, but a huge selection, and a large assortment of menu items. Restaurants have themes, too. It's a whole themed package. Lots of shows. Places where you can sit to cool off when the weather is unbearable. Places to grab a cool drink if you're not ready for dinner yet. Places where you can get something to nibble on if you still want to wait an hour or so before dinner. Places to get a huge dinner if you waited to long to eat. Places to get just a dessert if it's been a while since you had dinner.

Places to sit under a tree and sip your drink. Places to rest so you can go another four hours waiting in lines for the most fun rides ever.

Rides that thrill you. Rides that make you feel like a kid again. Slow and gentle rides that relax you. Rides that cool you off. Rides that make you remember... Characters who will hug you and you know you're truly a guest, not just a customer.

It's the whole atmosphere that I love!

I don't. Once you have been to Walt Disney World in Florida, nothing compares. WDW is a city onto itself, where Disneyland is surrounded by a regular downtown area. It is choked out and there is not much more room to expand. WDW on the other hand can add another two parks, and still have room to move around.
The best things about the Florida resort are
1. the customer service is second to none. They treat you like royalty, whether you are at a value resort or one of the most expensive ones.
2. they make the whoe experience tailored to the family.
3. there is a little bit of everything, from nightlife to rides to shows to shopping.

I love the look on my kids' faces when I tell them that I booked a trip, then when we get there. It is worth every penny that I have every spent.

I think the best thing about Disney is those "Cool Rides!". I also like all those characters.
Anyway, Disneyland is the Happiest place on earth!!
Disneyland is way better than Disney World 'coz it is the "original" and the first Disney Park that Walt DIsney made himself!!!

Disneyland is an amazing place where amazing things happen every day! it's truly magical! where else in the world can elephants fly because of their over sized ears!?! or mermaids dream of being human. Call me crazy but Disneyland turns the ordinary in to extraordinary!

Call me a freak, but I don't. I love Magic Mountain though... I guess that I like the roller coasters and Disney doesn't have too many of them.

Where else can you spend $500 dollars on absolutely nothing. And still make it home in time to catch JAG.
