I have post-polio. I had to not only learn how to use a cane for my walking, I also had to learn all I could about post-polio and what it could do. I've also learned what I can do to slow its progress in me.

Riding a ten speed bike 30 miles in the fastest possible time. This was a challenge since I was in hilly territory and through an urban area. Made the trip in 1 hour and 15 minutes. Would have been faster, but when I made my destination I took a ten minute break to drink before I headed back.
