The best way is to find a rink with a certified instructor. they have beginner classes that are inexpensive, and fun. You get to meet people that are as good at it as you are.

Depends on whether you are ice skating or roller skating. With both your more or less alternate pushing off with the edge of the trailing foot.

I could'nt tell you at this time, I haven't skated since i was a teenager. After putting on your skates carefully stand up, relax and gain your balance, start moving slowly until you feel confident enough to start your movement, start slowly until you master the moves.
