I was looking at pics of super skinny celebrities, such as, Nicole Ritchie, Mischa Barton, Paris Hilton, Kate Bosworth and such, and I noticed that even though they are super skinny they have these well shaped, thick calves (and legs), how do they do it???

Because I used to think I couldn't get them because I was skinny, but now that I've gained weight I've still have this skinny, embarrasing, tooth-pick-like legs!

Calves are a strongly genetic bodypart. That is, some people naturally, or with very little work, have big ones, and some people, even enormous bodybuilders, just can't get them to grow. That's about the bottom line. Everyone can benefit some from working them, though, just be sure to do calf raises with knees bent AND with knees straight, to work both the gastrocnemius and soleus muscles. That will give you the greatest gains in size.

~I think that the calf muscle is one of the most fleshiest of body parts, and if you wear high heels it helps to sculpt the muscles, and with them being so skinny their bodies are more defined {it's easier to see the slightest nook and cranny}. So that being said I think that is why they have such great looking legs.~

High heels definitely help, though I don't know how you can include Mischa in this group. That girl is beautiful, but she has flabby, shapeless legs and CANKLES. Yuck.

well, high heels.
wearing high heels work out your calves. so much better,well to me, than doing treadmills in incline
