I know I can't make them not have sex before marriage. I myself believe virginity is sacred and important. What is the best way to teach them that lesson?

Explain to them that sex is something that supposed to be intimate between a husband and wife and by engaging in sexual activity before marriage later on in life it will be looked at as something which as an activity in itself undermining the pleashure of being intimiate (a spouse is just another way of having sex) unfurtantly the odds are against you in to day society ) good luck

If your not going to take the religious route take the health route. Condoms are not 100%, Herpes can be spread via kissing and then transferred to the genital area with unclean hands, etc. Do some research and teach them for their own health they should wait, also talk to them about people who have babies at a young age. How difficult their lives have become, and how so often the fathers are not involved. Or how abortion lowers your ability to have children later on. Or how if you get pregnant and give the baby up for adoption what kind of emotional pain people go through.
First and fore most is this. Do NOT lie, and don't tell them old wives tales. Have facts to back you up.

You tell them the truth. Kids that have sex have kids of their own, and life is a stuggle when you are a kid raising a kid. Take them down to the local FIA or WIC office and let them see all the young single mothers trying to feed their kids.

take them to a hospital and introduce them to kids their own age or close to who have STD'S cuz they didn't wait. not to sound meant to the people like that as it is a good lesson to learn and others shouldn't need to learn the hard way

Maybe you could sign them up for a sex-ed class or something like that.

if you children dont have the same belief as you do, dont push it, or they'll have sex harder.
