Not usually. If it's close to the time my roommate gets home from work then I will close the door.

No. If the door is closed between me and the cats, they howl and beat at the door. It's easier to leave it open.

No, and now with a young child I do not do it during the time when he is up either, he can get into trouble in a second he is all boy.
