My computer wants to keep checking it and someone told me it may crash if I do not get more hard drive. I am somewhat computer illiterate and really don't know what to do next. Can anyone give me answers in simple language? mml7353@yahoo.com

I'm not gonna email you.

If you have 106 gigs total, and have 94.1 gigs left, then you are okay. Your friend was, uh, mistaken.

If you only have 94 MEGS left, then the computer probably isn't running well at all. At that point, you either have someone who knows what they are doing start removing stuff from the computer (that person obviously isn't you), or get a bigger hard drive and have a computer person install it (moving all of your data, of course).

Personally, I don't see how you fill up that much hard drive w/o really trying. I'm a pro computer geek, and my business computer has the same sized hard drive as yours. I've got about 40 CDs stored on my HD, and I've only used 60 gigs.

you probably meant to say you have 94.1 MB left.

delete old files you don't need. empty your recycle bin, delete files in
C:\Documents and Settings\YourLoginNameHere\Local Settings\Temp
and
C:\Documents and Settings\YourLoginNameHere\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files

(as many as the operating system will let you delete)
burn some files to dvds. (dvd burner is $50, dvd+r costs a few dollars apiece. you may already have a dvd burner, check your computer.). once you burn the files to dvds you can delete them from your comptuer.

buy a new bigger hard drive. they're a simple thing to install, run a little over $100 for a 500 GB hard drive.

Pls go buy a new HD, even if you don't really need one. We need the money to fight terrorism. Hihi. But more seriously...
I agree with the others, that you probably don't know how to describe the truth about your computer. Neither will you understand what we are telling you. Go get your self an expert. Probably the help desk of some PC shop nearby.

Hey Dude,

Are you sure you wrote this correctly? Please double check. Because, you have LOTS of room left.

If you only have 94 MB left, you are in trouble.

You should buy an external HDD, a 500 GB and move over all of your music, video and picture files. Those are the only things that can really take up all of that space.

buy another drive at a place like frys or circuit city, they are a little expensive but you can put extra things on it and it will be worth it. it does seem like a lot of space though you dont really need that much space now. it might be a problem with you computer not you hard drive.

You shouldn't need to do anything. You have used only 12% of your total disk space, so you have enough left to do just about anything you want to. You certainly do not need to buy another disk drive.
