My husband and I are so excited. I am worried, though, that something may be wrong since I have cramps. I think I may be constipated too, though. I have also been sleeping on the couch for the past three nights which may have contributed to my back pains which are very slight. I go to my first doctor's appointment tomorrow and this is my first pregnancy. I would apprectiate any information that others have gone through or know about my situation. Thanks and God Bless.

I went to the doctor on monday, but they only did bloodwork (yuck) and a pregnancy test to verify the pregnancy. It was just my first visit. I go back next monday to see a nurse practioner and review the bloodwork. However, I did ask the nurses there about my cramping and they said it was completely normal as long as I didn't bleed. I have not had any bleeding whatsoever. I will definitely go to the doctor if I bleed. I have been having some clear discharge about the size of a quarter, but I have heard this is normal too. I think everything is ok. God has brought us this far and I know He is in control of everything and will protect my baby and me. Thank you all for your comments!

cramping in early pregnancy is very normal, your body is going through alot of changes to accommodate that little one and constipation you will battle the whole pregnancy esp. later on. so eat fruits and fiber and drink lots of water. the back pain probably is sleeping on the couch but nothing to worry about. all sounds normal....do not worry. eat healthy, exercise and take vitamins. God Bless you and your family.

I am now 21 weeks into my 1st pregnancy and everything has gone perfectly. I had the same cramps and backpain very early on and I too was worried. Although you are very early on, your pelvis is already softening to accomodate you growing baby. I found this was the source of my back pain, I started to wear much better supportive shoes and the pain has really subsided. The cramps I had felt like a period pain and I was always worried about bleeding, it is just you womb starting to grow. Although I have said this, you should still let your midwife or Dr know at your next check up. Good luck and enjoy your pregnancy.

At six weeks pregnant with my second pregnancy I had cramping and spotting, went to the doc and had a miscarriage confirmed. At six weeks pregnant with my third pregnancy I had cramping and spotting, went to the doc, and now my baby is 8 weeks old. I guess my point is that its the type of symptoms that can go either way. Being pregnant is scary because your body does feel so so so different. Take it easy for today, stay off your feet. At the doctor tomorrow if she does an ultrasound there will not be a heartbeat at only six weeks, but should be able to see a sac. I know how scary it is.

Definitely let your doctor know but I think you're okay. Constipation is completely normal because your body is trying to squeeze every nutrient it can out of the food you're eating now. And the back pain is VERY common, too! I know when I was 5-7 weeks pregnant, I just felt like I was having PMS symptoms-- some cramps, mood swings, breast tenderness, etc. I actually went to the store and bought both tampons and a pregnancy test cuz I knew one or the other was happening!

It's perfectly normal to have some cramping and even slight spotting this early in pregnancy. If the cramping gets bad and you start bleeding heavily then you should worry. It's also perfectly normal to be a nervous wreck when you're first pg. Just take care of yourself and hang in there!
Good luck and God Bless you, too!!

It seems like what you're going by way of is typical. I was once the equal approach... again suffering is typical (even though I was once in an overly dangerous auto twist of fate while I was once 10 wks prego.) and the cramping after an orgasm is totally typical too. When you've an orgasm it makes your uterus agreement. So that is all that happening with that. Sounds like you've the whole lot found out via staying blissful and healthful! You're doing GREAT! Congrats and well good fortune!
