You have too much gravel or rocks or whatever in there with it. Turtles can stretch pretty well and can climb. They are pretty smart and like the other person said can stack rocks. I would take some out and see if that helps. If your tank isn't high enough I would suggest getting a lid for it or getting a bigger tank. I have a turtle too and has tried to attempt this but was unsuccessful. I hope this helps. Wait, another question. Do you have a light for it? If so maybe it has too much light and therefor escapes under your bed to cool down. Also, it is winter and it might be wanting to do the whole hibernation thing. Any more questions or details....let me know. Hope I can help if i haven't already.
I would deffinitley get a lid. And make sure it's one that has latches or something because it will bump it off. How close is the light to it? And what kind of light?

Evidently your tank is not high enough.
If you have rocks in the tank, he may be re-arranging them like a ladder to reach the top. JK
Or, you have the worlds first jumping turtle.

What kind of turtle is this? I can't quite figure out what in the heck you are talking about.

Try the forums at http://www.turtleforum.com and see if they can help.

He wants more places to hide! He should probably be kept in a yard, and he needs some where to burrow!
