we are not legally seperated, can they come back on me for missed child support. Am I liable for any other bills he has inccured?

Unless you legally adopted the kids, no. Bills will usually be divided

I don't think they can file anything on you for his children' support, but until at least file a legal separation are get a divorce then the bills inccured is 50/50 for both of you

You're not responsible for child support if they're not your biological children. You are both responsible for the bills incurred during the marriage. These issues will not come up until you get a divorce. Just to be sure, call an attorney.

Once upon a time you could put a public notice in the paper saying that you would not be responsible for any debts incurred by your partner. It could have been stopped. Some lawyers will give you the first 20 mins in their office for free. Find one that does this and ask about the above.

If he has custody of his children, his former wife may be responsible for child support. If he has visitation or joint custody of his children he probably pays child support. Unless you adopted the children you are most likely not financially responsible for them. You may want to consult an attorney, just to make sure, as laws vary from state to state.
