I need to fix my windsheild wipper, any advice on whatt to do, before I tear into it.


I have a 96 ford tuarus.

it is also possible that that wiper arms has came loose from the shaft it attaches to,there may be a cover you can remove where the wiper attaches to the arm and see if there is a nut to tighten.

First thing to do is to look under the hood, and see how the wipers are driven. There may be two motors, or a single motor with a mechanical linkage. If there are two, you will probably have to replace the bad one. If there is one with a linkage, the linkage may be broken and be repairable.

there is a small cover on the arm, it just pops off, then there is a 16mm nut that is probably just loose, tighten it with the wipers off and in the parked position and you should be good to go...

either the linkage came apart or there was something or ice on the windshield when you turned them on first check to see if the middle is turning were the wiper bolts on if it is it is just came loose it is soft metal there, if it is not moving move to the linkage part of the system

down under the wipers in the vent is a series of arms.. one of them is broke// youll need to remove both sides along with all new arma they all come as complete unit
