A 1.00 Kg objectis attached to a horizontal spring.the spring is initially stretched by 0.100 m, and the object is released from rest there.it proceeds to move without fricton.the next time the speed of the object is zero is 0.500 a later.

what is the maximum speed of the object?

I think the answer might be that the maximum velocity occurs after moving 0.1 m, then goes back to zero after moving another 0.1 m.

The average velocity would be 0.1m/.25s = 0.4 m/s, thus the maximum velocity would be twice that, or 0.8 m/s at t = 0.25s.
